DCP Singapore Study Tour 2K17

~ Day 1 ~

Today was our first day of our study tour to Singapore. We departed from Husein International Airport early at about 10 a.m. and arrived there at 12.50 p.m. We spent some time at the Changi International Airport until we finally left on a bus. The girls and boys were traveling on separate buses as the boys were to stay at the Anglo Chinese School Independent dorm while the girls were to stay at the Anderson School dorm. When we arrived, we dumped our suitcases in our rooms and only brought our hand carried bags. We took the MRT heading to the City Harvest Church. It was not like any other church I've been in; it was lively, modern, cold and HUMONGOUS. Not only that they had a superb church, but also a professional preacher. After our afternoon service, we split into groups to venture around Suntec City. We had lunch at the food court below and luckily found ourselves lots of cheap drinks as they were rare to be found in Singapore. We gathered at the meeting point and headed bact to our dorm to clean ourselves up and sleep.

~ Day 2 ~

We left early morning to Vivo City to cross the bridge connecting to the Sentosa Island. The teachers have already distributed all the prepared Universal Studios Singapore tickets for us to enter. At first, I couldn't decide whether or not I should buy a fast pass and came up with a negative decision. Again, we were split into groups and separated. My group and I first went to the Madagascar boat ride. Then we went to Transformer: The Ride 3D that my friend suggested. I doubt it would be good but, after riding it, it was probably the best, most realistic 3D ride that I have ever ridden. We had lunch at the Jurassic Park restaurant and went to Water World, a stunt and action show. There were gunshot, missiles and even bazooka effects. We had a relaxed evening at Sentosa Island and went home.

~ Day 3 ~

Casino at Marina Bay Sands

School at ACSI was cancelled today as they were going to have an emergency evacuation practice. We went shopping at a mall near the Anderson school and pick the girls up for our next journey. We set off to the Marina Barrage for sightseeing. It was located near the end of Singapore and had a beautiful view as we could see the whole of Singapore from there. Then, we headed to Marina Bay Sands through Garden by the Bay and had dinner there. Everything there was really expensive, even the food court. We gathered again at the top of Marina Bay Sands to watch short fountain show that is held every night. The girls and boys separated once again to go back to each of our dorm.

~ Day 4 ~
Somewhere @Orchard Road

Today was our first study day in the study tour, meaning that we went to school. We were divided  into groups once again to decide who goes to which class. I was stationed with Kenneth and Nathan (my elementary school friends) in the same class. 3 boys from the school were assigned to be each of our buddies and "tour guides". My buddy was kind and friendly and so are the others. We learned like usual except that we did not to join the Laboratory, Physical Education and Chinese class. We left school early for Orchard. We were given 4 hours to go around Orchard Road but not anywhere beyond. We went to Takashimaya, Paragon, Lucky Plaza and ION Orchard. The students enjoyed the chilly evening walking around.

~ Day 5 ~

The second day of school was rather boring as we had Lab, Physical Education and Chinese class in the same day. We spent the whole day in the library reading books and playing our gadgets. We visited Bugis Junction to spend the rest of our day there. The mall was as complicated as a maze. We got lost several of times, especially when we had to gather back at the meeting point. There were no maps or anything so, we had to walk a complete circle outside the mall when the point was just in front of where we originally were. It was a tiring day and we went back with sweaty and drowsy faces.

~ Day 6 ~

It was our last day of school in ACSI and we greeted them our final goodbye. We gave them souvenirs from Indonesia as a memory of the times we've spent together there. We left school to Jurong East to visit the Science Centre. There were barely any exhibits as they were all under renovation. We met with our former classmate, Tan Wei Bin Bryant, who is now living in Singapore. We also bought lots of souvenirs and brought them to JCube Mall. We had dinner at the food court and gathered back so we could get back to the dorm earlier since we would have to wake up at dawn tomorrow.

~ Day 7 ~

It was 3 a.m. Singaporean time and 2 a.m. Indonesian time, all our stuffs are packed and we were all ready to go. We hopped on the bus that took us from the airport to school, but now vice versa. The airport was fairly empty. Not all of us went on board the plane as they were going to spend some more time in Singapore with their family. We rode the plane and landed safely back at Bandung. It was a pleasant experience in Singapore while it lasted. This would be the end of the DCP Singapore Study Tour 2K17.

Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag Guide | 5 Battle Tips For Beginners

Hey guys! I've been playing a game called SAO Memory Defrag for quite some time now, and I found myself very addicted to this game. So, I thought to share a guide for you all SAO MD lovers... Enjoy! ( This is all based on my opinion only.)

1. Learn the Basics

To progress in any kind of games, learning the basics is truly a must. If you start a journey in SAO: Memory Defrag, you will undergo a step-by-step before you reach the game's main menu. But worry not! In this part, we will introduce the basic operation that you need to follow during battles.

Attack - Tap
Move - Swipe Left/ Right/ Up/ Down
Step/ Skip a move - Right/ Left Flick
Jump - Flick Upwards
Jump Attack - Quickly flick Up and Down

2. Guard/ Avoiding Incoming Attacks
SAO Memory Defrag allows players to shield their unit(s) in a certain period of time. Moving freely is also allowed if an incoming attack is ready to hit your character. Here are some helpful information on how to perform these useful moves.

- Guard

Characters who use short range weapons (One-handed Sword, Rapier, Dagger, etc.) can block any attack for a short moment. Execute this action by making a long press in your screen. As seen in the picture, a shield-bar is placed above the character's avatar. This indicates how long you can take direct assaults from the enemies. Once the red line went out, your unit will be soon vulnerable to any kind of attacks. Make sure not to ignore this.

Note: Archers, Gunners and Healers cannot use guard. Once you tried this move, they will charge for a strong attack against enemies.

- Avoid Incoming Attacks

Avoiding enemy's attacks is a wise move especially in difficult quests. In order to advance in Memory Defrag, you need to play various quests all throughout. Quests will give you needed stuffs in terms of levelling your units, enhancing their attributes and much more.

Dodge an incoming attack by flicking or swiping quickly on a different position. You can move anytime you want in this game. Direct attacks will severely injure your units especially if fighting against bosses. Use the opportunity to make an effective counter attack behind your enemy. Timing is the key!

3-4. Check the Boss' Attack Range

Each boss in this game holds different abilities and weapons. They are programmed to stop you in distinct chapters in the game. Their HP is 4x than a normal unit. This means you need to make a quick strategy on how to defeat them.

Below the boss' avatar, a red rectangular shape can be seen clearly. This simply reveals its attack range. Dodge as fast as you can once this warning appears! If possible, parry their attack to provide a devastating counter.

If you see the boss' attack range turns to color violet, guard and/ or parrying is not possible. Hence, flick and dodge its attack. Once they cast their skill/ attack, sneak behind them to perform a counter attack.

Note: Some Bosses performs dual attack. So sneaking behind them early might not be a good move at all times.

5. Parry and Switch!
Remember how Kirito and Asuna (with other team members) defeated The Blue-Eye Demon? Yes, by doing the switch move.

Switch is a good feature the game received from the hit original series. You can execute this move by shielding and swiping your screen upwards to trigger the parry move. This can only be done with a good timing. Before the enemy perfectly smash its weapon, flick a move upward to enter this mode. Everything will go on slow motion and you can freely pick what unit you want to exchange position with. Your selected character will perform its first skill with a possible critical damage if it holds enough MP to execute it.

Valentine's Day

What is Valentine's Day?
Each year on February 14th, many people exchange cards, chocolate, gifts or flowers with their special "valentine". The day of romance we call Valentine's Day is named for a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.

History of Valentine's Day

Numerous early Christian martyrs were named Valentine. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome (Valentinus presb. m. Romae) and Valentine of Terni (Valentinus ep. Interamnensis m. Romae). Valentine of Rome was a priest in Rome who was martyred in 269 and was added to the calendar of saints by Pope Galesius in 496 and was buried on the Via Flaminia. The relics of Saint Valentine were kept in the Church and Catacombs of Saint Valentino in Rome, which remained "an important pilgrim site throughout the Middle Ages until the relics of St. Valentine were transferred to the church of Santa Prassede during the pontificate of Nicholas IV". The flower-crowned skull of St. Valentine is exhibited in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, Rome. Other relics are found at Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church in Dublin, Ireland.

Chocolate

Chocolate is a typically sweet, usually brown food preparation of Theobroma cacao seeds, roasted and ground, and often flavored with vanilla. It is made in the form of a liquid, paste, or in a block, or used as a flavoring ingredient in other foods. Cacao has been cultivated by many cultures for at least three millennia in Mesoamerica. The earliest evidence of use traces to the Mokaya(Mexico and Guatemala), with evidence of chocolate beverages dating back to 1900 BCE. In fact, the majority of Mesoamerican people made chocolate beverages, including the Maya and Aztecs, who made it into a beverage known as xocolātl Nahuatl pronunciation: [ʃoˈkolaːt͡ɬ], a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter water". The seeds of the cacao tree have an intense bitter taste and must befermented to develop the flavor.

What "Year of the Fire Rooster" means
In Chinese astrology, each zodiac is not just associated with an animal sign, but also one of five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire or Earth.

Both the zodiac sign and the element shape the astrology of the year. For example, 2017 is a Fire Rooster year. Element-sign combinations recur every 60 years.

The following famous fire Roosters will be 60 this zodiac year: Dawn French, Donny Osmond, Martin Luther King III, Stephen Fry, Hans Zimmer, Dolph Lundgren, and Jools Holland.
